The goal of the institute is to develop leadership skills in Oregon's high school migrant students. It exposes participants to college life and encourages them to attend. They are also encouraged to be proud of their heritage and to build goals towards their future. An expectation is for students to return and give back to their communities.
During the 2010 summer, there are three sessions at Oregon State University. Come explore each of the sessions with us as it unfolds! During each session, participants are divided into groups. Each group has its own unique blog to showcase. This page links to where participants share their experiences as well as to information about our staff.
Feel free to leave encouraging comments for our participants.

Amas,
This is a wonderful way for us to see and connect with students in the migrant summer leadership program.
Thanks so much for setting this up; what a great idea!
I would like to say HI!! to our Eastern Oregon students, Berenice & Karen from Ontario. Their families are so proud of them and miss them.
